How to "Fix" Flaws in This Scan of Blank Business Custom Letterhead Paper Using Inkscape

I found three sheets of vintage business letterhead (see below) while on vacation in June in the Minocqua. Wisc. area. I bought all three with the idea of scanning the best of the trio and printing it as a PD. I’d convert that scan to a PDF so you can download it, print it out and type on it to your aorta’s content.

I only have Inkscape as my disposal. Any ideas on how I might ‘clear’ out the damaged areas on my laptop? I appreciate any quick tips.

As you can see, old fold marks mar the paper. When I started to look online for more information on Swift & Company, I discovered an eBay item, an invoice from 1914 with the same logo and typeface. Swift & Company looks like it might have been a meatpacking company, whether it survives today is unclear. Maybe you know more?

That 1914 date seems likely since I also bought dated letters from 1913 and 1914 (one’s from the Oliver Typewriter Company) from that same collection in the Minocqua antique shop.

Anyhow, I would like to type on a print of this paper myself. Another question: the paper appears to be a cream-colored. I think it would be better just to have the logo and type in black on a white background. How can I convert the cream color to white in Inkscape?
